Hey everyone,
I have rarely posted on this site but I would definitely classify myself as a “lurker”. I have used many tips given to me by fellow users on other posts, and from reading other “What are my chances” threads, I feel that you guys have a serious knowledge base of everything college-y.
With that said, I would love for you guys to give me your opinions on my chances on getting into the following colleges. Then I’ll sell my soul to you later in the post.
List:
Early Decision - Wheaton College MA
Lord help me for I would give an arm, a leg and my dog to get into this school. I’m talking to the track coach but he’s super vague. Damn you vagueness.
Early Action:
Assumption College - Possible signing of a track NLI
Stonehill College - ditto
UVM - Just heard it was far easier EA than regular.
Regular Decision:
Arizona State - why not enjoy America
Hampden Sydney College - I wanna be a man!
UMass Lowell - Track
Westfield State - Safety
Bridgewater State - Safety
I’m an international student who moved from Ireland in March of my Freshman year (currently a junior). My GPA is weird and my guidance counselor is writing that in her letter of rec. considering it includes 30 something credits of Honors yearlong Irish classes, including both German, French and Irish, so hopefully the admissions officers understand. I recently took the ACT for the first time and got a 23. My English was my strongest with a 31 and Math was the worst with a repulsive 18 - yes I am getting tutoring now. I am in debate club, for as long as I’ve been here, and was recently named captain for my track team for the year ahead. I’ll very likely write my essay about moving to the US from Ireland considering I think its pretty unique to show MA colleges. I am also interested in Gordon College but not too sure if I should even apply. I also take all honors classes and AP Gov online as my school does not offer it.
Thanks for reading guys,
To be honest, I’m enjoying the college search and reading about what everyone has to say about all the campuses etc. I’ll be sure to reply to anyone with any criticism or info on my list and opportunities to get into said colleges.
