Chances for international student ?

<p>Hello CC! I am new to this so please understand me if I make some error. I am rising senior residing at South Korea. My dream is to get into top university school in US. I want to know whether with the following stat I have, I will have chance to get into the top schools in my list. Since I am an international student, I know that I face lower chance, but I want to see whether I even stand a chance. </p>

<p>GPA: 4.0/4.0 Unweighted and 4.8/4.8 weighted: Overall average of 96
SAT: First 2090, Second 2340
TOFEL: I need to take one because of being international student. 120/120
SAT Subject Test:
- Biology: 800
- US History: 780
- World History: 780
- Physics: 740
- Chemistry: 750
- Math 2C: 800

<p>You definitely stand a solid chance. I know that being an international student certainly doesn’t help, but the fact that you are able to score in the 2300’s on a test which assumes fluency in Wnglish is incredibly impressive. You are most definitely a qualified applicant to any of these schools. My one tip would be to make sure you’re essays are outstanding; maybe you could write something about why you love the US so much, and why the universities here inspire you or something. Good luck, but rest assured you are qualified to get into these schools. I completely agree with your classification of the colleges, those are the exact levels that I would say as well.</p>

<p>Georgetown is a reach, Vanderbilt is not (for an international with your test scores who does not need $$). Maryland isn’t all that hard to get into…</p>

<p>Harvard… and Brown? Interesting. Usually people apply to Yale and Brown.</p>
