hello,
I am international applicant with very low gpa (3.2) needing a lot of financial aid.
I haven't taken SAT yet. I plan to take SAT physics and Math II also.
Do I have any chance to be accepted at any college with near to full ride aid?

My abilities are much higher than my gpa may demonstrate (don't want to seem aroogant but it really is so). And I am not slacker. But that's no excuse for my low grades anyway.

Maybe it is a little early to chance you because you haven’t got standardized tests’ results yet. And could you please give CCers a little bit more info about your ECAs, which can be important too?
But you should be optimistic because getting full financial aid is not a problem for the need-blind schools (for int’l: HYP, Dartmouth, Amherst and NYUAD). And for some LACs, it’s not impossible either (if you don’t mind if they are not that famous, even though they might be brilliant schools).

Generally the whole “my abilities are greater than this shows” works for the GPA > SAT, not the other way around. If you do well enough on the SAT, I’m sure theres some college in the US that would accept you, but not any big, well known ones with a 3.2 GPA. You’ve gotta be outstanding at whatever school you go to to get near a full ride.
