Thanks in advance

No, it probably won’t, at least the hearing impairment. If you’re healthy now, then the childhood of sickness can help if you phrase it correctly and show it shaped who you are.

Bring SATs up and you’d have a much better chance, but I wouldn’t be too optimistic about HYP.

Overcoming childhood illness, depression, etc, usually doesn’t make a good essay.
It comes across as “poor me”. You have to write it in such a way that you are not feeling sorry for yourself.

I’ve just finished Junior year. I’m essentially experimenting with differentiating scenarios. New opportunities have arisen since that post and my academic standing has also changed.

I specifically desire feedback that can serve to direct me towards my goals.

Thank you for your understanding.

Your SAT and GPA are a bit low. I wouldn’t be so sure about HYP, but maybe you could get into a lower Ivy possibly?

My essay would detail my determination, despite having s disability and childhood of illness. I would demonstrate how it (my disability) has inspired me to enter the medical field. After all, it is my life goal to improve the health of society through the introduction of groundbreaking medical treatments/cures and invention(s).

Still think you are a ■■■■■ (or if not, then a pretty oblivious person)

Low-ish SATs, not great EC’s and average GPA… you may have a chance, but I would not count on it.

If this is your true profile (which I’m pretty sure is not), I sincerely urge you to consider other schools instead. Sure, throw in an application, but like bobtheboy said, I “wouldn’t count on it”.

Your SAT went down?

Don’t make ridiculous assumptions. I felt that I would be able/have the opportunity to take on ap stats sometime during the year (on-line). However, that was not the case.

The name of the thread should be changed to suggestions for improvement. I don’t necessarily need or seek any validation (although I appear to)

i think that the ONLY thing you are missing for an ivy league is a sport and an art

so you really need to get involved in it as soon as possible, if not, i think youll get rejected

wait why are you guys posting lol…he’s a ■■■■■. and if hes not a ■■■■■, then no, OP you dont have a good chance. your SAT score is pretty low and you dont have much leadership or sports.

OK guys. Don’t feed the ■■■■■. Everybody retreat slowly and maybe he’ll leave.
