I’m pretty sure you need an 800 on Math 2 for Caltech and MIT correct? Retaking that test wouldn’t hurt you. Hopefully your SAT score is higher than 2250, if not, maybe a retake is suggested?

I think I might be able to manage those things. What about then?

@manas14 If you can get your scores up, you have a fair shot. I say go for it, I think you’ll get into at least 2 or 3 of those schools on your list. Be sure to apply elsewhere though, all of these schools can throw wild cards and reject extremely qualified applicants.

Cal Tech: Scores are too low

USC: Solid Chances
Cornell: Low Reach

“Various Olympiad Medals”
USAMO or IMO?

If various Olympiad medals are IMO, you will walk into MIT (which I deduce they are not from your SAT MATH II). If not, those schools are reaches for everyone. Try to achieve higher scores if you can, you still have time (What is an expected score btw?)

I highly doubt they’re at the international level (IMO, IPhO). If you had an IMO gold, then a 750 Math II wouldn’t make sense.

I should be able to get an 800 on Math II and like a 2300 on Sat. Olympiad medals are national, not IMO or IPhO.

What competition is this olympiad medal for specifically?

If it’s still something like USAMO, it still makes a huge difference especially with universities like MIT

Your scores are in range for an Ivy, not probable though. Your extracurriculars are certainly interesting

It’s an Indian-founded olympiad with much less recognition. What are the probable scores for an ivy?

Is it not INMO (Indian National Math Olympiad)?

Since it’s so unpredictable, you should also apply to safety schools.

Bump…
