Hello everyone! I'm a new member, but I've been lurking for a while now, so I guess all that lurking made me curious to find out my chances! I'm a Canadian living in Russia, and I've applied to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia and the University of Chicago.

TOEFL: 119
SAT I: 2200 (CR 730, M 700, W 770)
SAT II:
Math I: 770
Math II: 780
World History: 670

Winner of National English olympiad in 2012, but other than that basically no extracurrics, no job experience, no saving puppies from floods etc.

GPA is approximately 3.88 (I converted from the Russian system)

Oh, and also I'm applying for Financial Aid. My declared major is Econ.

I know my World History SAT is an EXTREME weak spot, also my extracurrics and the fact that the rest of my scores are pretty average... What would you say my chances are? I'm getting antsy and disturbed with all this waiting, haha.

Haha…Ill just keep an eye on this thread cuz My scores r pretty similar n i am international too applying to UChicago + Ivies

your chances for ivies and chicago are very very very low since you have no ec’s. i’d honestly say you have an almost impossible chance.
your stats are undoubtedly impressive, but you have nothing to offer to colleges but numbers.

try out some school lower that would take you in for your stats only. or if it’s not too late, id defo say join a few clubs, play a sport basically, get more involved. goodluck!

Thanks for your feedback! I’m only applying to colleges that offer financial aid to international students (to my knowledge), since my parents can’t afford an education for me, and neither can I. I wish I’d found some club to join earlier, ugh.

try to apply to a ‘only-good’ college for merit + financial aide. With the number you have to offer, you’d defo get in. Once you’re in, youll prolly be one of the smarter students there. Do well, and get into better postgrad.

Bumping this for a second opinion. :)

You have low chances but good luck! Do you have any safeties?

Thanks! My safeties are University of Toronto and McGill in Canada.
