I'm looking at Harvard, Yale, Brown, Columbia (Columbia College), Cornell (Arts and Sciences), NYU (Arts and Sciences), Carnegie Mellon (Comp Sci). Already been rejected from Stanford :-(

Thanks a lot everybody!

In at NYU and Carnegie Mellon...
A good chance for Cornell...
Brown and Columbia are reaches, but I'm not sure if you showed you were passionate about anything in particular other than academics. Harvard and Yale are reaches, as always.
Hopefully you had good essays (I'm assuming you did), and good recommendations and something which reflected you weren't just purely academic--it'd help for Brown and Columbia, though you still have a chance for both, because grades and test scores are excellent...

Thanks for the input!

Looking at the original post it does seem very academic. I should have specified that the papers to which I was referring were about my passion - sports. For a few years I've developed my own sports stats and it's become my greatest interest. There's more to it than the papers and I wrote one of my essays specifically about it.

Ahhh. I also noticed you couldn't play sports for a medical reason? That makes you stand out a lot more, I think. I mean Brown, Columbia, Yale and Harvard are still toss-ups, but hopefully you'll click with them! The best of luck to you!

good chance for all of those schools. like what others said, the best of luck to you.

Thank you!

Are you from McNair? I think you have decent chances if you wrote good essays and have good recs. Do you have any advice about SAT IIs? If you have any good study tips (which it seems you should given your scores), PM me.

Thanks a lot!

the ivies need academics too. who knows if you'll get in at those schools, but definitely apply everywhere. NYU shouldn't be a problem.
