chances for princeton, brown, yale, cornell, upenn?
oh im asian btw. and there's two hispanic girls applying to princeton that are in honors/ap classes which would decrease my chances significantly to princeton.

i think princeton and yale might be slightly difficult for you coz you’re SAT is slightly low, but nonetheless, don’t give up hope, and you certainly still have a good chance on it. and you got 800 for chemistry! heh. dats nice.

it ll be pretty competitive too since u said that there’s two more Hispanic girls applyin too. so probably u shud focus more on ur essays and getting good recs to impress the admission people. your essays might be the factor that could pull u through the process. :)

chance me too! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/810891-chance-guy-borneo-international.html

Essays, friend. Show them to as many trusted people you know. Don’t be afraid to dig real deep and make them personal: they want to see who you are. No Ivy is easy to get into (I’m reapplying to Harvard after being WL’d there, Columbia, and Georgetown [SFS]), but that’s one sweet GPA that I never had (mine was 4.125 ish). Make sure your school talks about how hard their curriculum is, if it is.

Chance me back (mine is called Crossing My Fingers)!

Good luck.

Peace.

thanks a lot.
one more question. I recently discovered that my ap english teacher from last year wrote generic recs [with only one letter… making me very >.< since he was a really good and hard teacher] and a friend of mine already sent that to cornell, which im definitely applying to. i was thinking instead of getting this rec from the choir teacher who ive been working with for the past two years as her accompanist. is it smart to switch to such a nonacademic teacher? she’s a relatively new teacher too, and this is only her second year teaching at my high school. my english teacher’s super young but he’s been teaching for 4 years now.
