Northwestern

Emory

NYU

Help would be appreciated! Will chance back..

Your GPA and Test scores are great. You have a great chance.

I do not believe that you have a great chance at UPenn, Berkeley, Chicago, Northwestern, or Emory. No one has a great chance at any of those schools because of how insanely low the acceptance rate is. You are however, extremely qualified from your GPA and test scores.

I do have a question regarding your senior schedule for next year.

I would HIGHLY advise against taking such a rigorous schedule.

Provided your courses are taught with the proper rigor, 3 AP sciences and 1 AP math are going to be way too much to handle. Especially since you seem to be targeting a finance related major. All of that is really unnecessary. When you include the many supplements and applications you have to fill out, it’s going to be impossible to have both high grades and great essays while staying committed to your ECs. I would strongly encourage dropping one of the science courses.

Your stats and ECs are great! I think you definitely have a good shot at U Penn and Brown, but with these schools it’s always hard to tell. I would qualify your other schools as:

UC Berkeley: high match (match if in state)

UChicago: low reach

Northwestern: low reach

Emory: match

NYU: low match

Best of luck!

NYU as a low match? That’s the first time I’ve heard that one.
