As you can tell, you probably won’t be getting a ton of detailed responses from people (lol theundertaker). You seem like an extremely average applicant for Harvard and don’t really stand out all that much.

Your SAT score and UW GPA are impressive, but are fairly typical for those applying to Harvard. Top 5% is great, but a large majority of people that get accepted actually tend to be in the top 1-2%. And it’s even tougher competition amongst the Asian applicant pool heh. Nonetheless, you’re still in the running.

Your biggest issue are your ECs which seem to mostly be random or generic clubs/activities, even if you do happen to hold a few leadership positions. Nothing really shows as being unique or particularly passionate or impressive in some talent or interest. But you still have a small chance

To be totally honest, I don’t think your chances for Harvard are too good, and I would recommend getting a few safer options. However if you want to shoot for it as an ED choice, why not. You never know :p

My father is in the Army. I attended a German school when he was stationed in Germany. I have two things I’m particularly passionate about. One would be international relations for obvious reasons. Another is the attitude of second generation Asian Americans towards themselves and their cultures. I didn’t really elaborate towards either because I wasn’t sure how they would play into a college application. Unfortunately, I don’t have much to show in my resume towards international relations, but for the second interest, it was why EBCO was started. I was previously part of a youth council for the Asian Pacific Development Center and a presenter at a diversity conference. Again, don’t know how much of a difference that makes…
Thank you very much!

You have a great hook and good scores although they are common among many applicants. I’d say you have a shot at lower Ivys like cornell an brown

You are really average for Harvard. Your AP scores are not good, and Your SAT is fine. Its a good score, and its fine for Harvard, your not getting rejected over it, but its not that high or impressive. Your ECs seem generic, so it will come down to essays.
