Thank you, if you post a link i'll chance back!!

I think the biggest weakness in your app is the lack of unique ECs. Music, tennis, math, NHS, library, are all pretty generic.

ok thank you

Johns Hopkins - match
University of Pennsylvania - reach
Duke - low reach
Rice - match
Dartmouth - low reach

Is it worth telling these schools this information that i did not do/put on my application by the date sent
-3rd place conference champ for math team (1st place female)
-Section leader in musical
-Part of district advisory council (gives info to the school board for one of the largest school districts in MN)

bumpppppppppp

may i ask how you have a 4.0 gpa uw and a 4.08 weighted, especially with those ap courses?

sectional leader is nice

Way too much like a grocery list… Too typical like thousands of standard Ivy applicants (many of whom get rejected). Not enough achievement, AP tests are mostly on the low side, same for other tests.

I’m really having a hard time seeing you in any of those 5.

I don’t think Hopkins is a match. I had a 34 ACT, 1 ap in my soph year, 7 APs/IBs my junior, and 6 this year (with a 3.87 unweighted and rank 7 of 572) as well as numerous EC’s (that includes sports, state competitions in CA, community service, summer programs, and any other things) and I got deferred from ED. Problem is…there wasn’t anything really unique.

anonmity, clearly a part of ur application was had problems if u got deferred ED with those stats, although John Hopkins in competitive, most of their students are smart but not rly special (unlike high, mid ivies), did u request too much aid??? are you international applicant??? something must be wrong…

also, u dont have to be unique to get into JHU

Okay, first off, your grades/class rank are really good. Your ACT’s are strong, but I think you might want them a little higher for some of these schools, especially UPenn. Your EC’s are good, but considering how competitive Dartmouth and UPenn are, I’m not sure they’ll cut it. I advise you to retake the ACT, I think just a few extra points could make a big difference.

Chance me please for:
Johns Hopkins - high match/low reach
University of Pennsylvania - high reach
Duke - high match
Rice - high match
Dartmouth - reach

Would you mind?

OK, so here is what happened, you can see my stats and where I ended up and how good the chances were

Accepted- University of Minnesota TC, Dartmouth
Waitlisted- Johns Hopkins, Rice
Rejected- Duke, University of Pennsylvania,

Attending Dartmouth unless I get into Johns Hopkins off of the Waitlist because it is a better fit
