Hello everyone, I am new to this site and after reading some other chance threads, I thought I'd give it a shot.

I guess I'll start off with my current situation; I have been recruited as a possible future athlete at JHU, and after going for a overnight visit stay with the baseball team, I am sold on the college. I have been in contact with the baseball coach since last year and have already gone a long way through the process. Now I am at the point of applying and possible acceptance.

My grades and test scores are;

GPA: 4.7
(4.0 scale, all honors and AP, weighted)

Class rank: 15 of 442

SATs (what is bringing me down right now) : 1800
650 M
600 CR
550 writing

Acts: will be receiving score in a few days

AP Classes taken; English (last year and this year), Calculus, Spanish

Extracurriculars:

Obviously baseball is one of my other activities, I have played around the country for a while now which has gotten me on JHUs radar. I have already completed an overnight visit, and now it all depends on admissions.

P.S - how much pull do you believe the coach can have on admissions? For JHU that is

Others;

My mother passed away back when I was 10, and since then my family and I have been involved in different charity events and organizations raising money for the cancer foundation. I actually have organized my own including a memorial walk in Central Park. I hope that something like my help in charity work helps off set my SAT score. Along with this I have volunteered at soup kitchens, children's hospitals, and shelters.

I am participating in the National Honor Society for my school and have done a couple events on their behalf.

Everything above is just a short description of the things I do including my grades, as I don't want this post to get too long.

Please let me know what you think, chances wise. Thank you
