Hi, i'm Alex, and i'm finding that that nerves waiting for April are unbelievable.

i already got into a safety school, University of Central Florida, with the scholarship they offer for National Merit, but i really would like to go to a private institution. let me know what you think, and PLEASE dont be afraid to be brutally honest.
thanks! i'll chance people back if i know anything about the schools they applied to, promise

bump…

please guys, i’d really appreciate any reply, however brief.
and i will def chance back, even if i have to research the schools a bit.
pretty please?

i’m trying to decide whether or not to just go with the safety school now and get a better housing option, and would just like to get an idea of what other people think my chances are for these schools. too high of a reach, or not?

BUMP…

please please PLEASE, people… 58 views and no replies?
ANY replies would really be appreciated, it’s making me really nervous that nobody’s saying anything… of course, if i really have no shot in hell, i want to hear about it

will chance back!

I can chance you for JHU and DUKE-

JHU- Low Reach-Mid Reach
DUKE- Mid Reach

one more thing, why didn’t you take all of the AP classes your school offers? this will really hurt your chances

4.7 scale? That is so weird.

I think you have a good shot at Duke! Did you apply EA? If you applied RD, you’ll probably have a better chance at getting in. The top notch schools have been brutal with EA rejections lately.

I think you’ll get into John Hopkins as well…I mean those schools have a 25% admission rate…but you’re a pretty good candidate. Really good SATs, except for the minor dent in the physics…but your Math I score is really good…

A foreign language award in two languages…pretty cool o.o Leadership too.

I can’t say I know the other two…sorry :[

Chance me back please?

edit: I agree with the guy above me who said “why didn’t you take all of the APs?” Did you at least take honors to compensate for it?

hah yeah, the 4.7 scale is beyond bizarre.
i applied RD to everywhere, as i didnt want to be stuck with one option. however, my interviewer for duke said that they’ve never gotten so many applications before, and the acceptance rate was going to be way down this year.
thanks for the chance!

anybody else? will chance back!
:)

just saw the edit:
yes, i did take honors classes.
freshman year two were offered and i took them both,
soph year i took 4 of 4,
junior year i took 4 of 4,
and this year i’m taking 3 honors and 2 AP classes
