I would think that your UC GPA would get capped?

qwerty175:

UCLA: Slight Reach (out of state)

SAT I scores could cause some problems...it seems like UCLA doesn't even consider anyone with lower than a 2000.

how the hell did you get a 4.86 UC gpa? Anywas, OOS is really tough at any UC, but you have some really cool EC's, and with the hollistic admssions thing you may have a pretty decent chance.

btw the above poster is wrong about UCLA not considering applicants with lower than a 2000 SAT score. I have some friends in engineering with <2000 SAT scores and I know several people in L&S with <2000 SAT scores.

yea sat doesnt really matter i think. I got in with a 1850 SAT. They look at other things as well. I think your more qualified than me haha.

Yeah... zimmee32 is wrong...

Oh. Sorry guys.

qwerty--didn't mean to offend you, that was just what I had heard people at my school saying, and I suppose I shouldn't have made a blanket statement based off of it.

The average incoming SAT score is about 2010-2070, something like that... fwiw.

"SAT I scores could cause some problems...it seems like UCLA doesn't even consider anyone with lower than a 2000."

... umm no!!!!
Average ACCEPTED scores for UCLA was 2003 last year! Which means roughly 50% got accepted in to UCLA with SAT score equal to or above 2003 and 50% got accepted below 2003.

o_0, how do you have such a high gpa? Even if you took only 4 a-g classes/ year the highest gpa you could have is a 4.5. Did you factor in the 8 sem. ap/honors cap?

Yea the UC GPA is capped. There is no way you have a 4.89

The average composite score for the new SAT reasoning test for the admitted class was 2,009, out of a possible 2,400. The average math score was 685, the average critical reading score was 658 and the average writing score was 665.
