Amit

Could some one please chance me? Getting worried here…

A

You are the ideal applicant, I’m not an expert but theres nothing that you posted that could be a default to you. Just continue with the process and hope for the best.

Considering Exeter is mostly an Academic-based school, your probably going to be admitted. Their average SSAT falls into the 90ish% range and your well within those boundaries.

Having SSAT scores above the average is no guarantee. DS had scores far above the avg for all the schools he applied to and still did not get admitted into all.

I keep repeating myself: seriously consider applying to a few more, less uber-selective schools, just to be on the safe side, ESPECIALLY if you need FA

Thanks guys, for the comments. You have been helpful. Anything I should do during the interview. I’m nervous. Maybe some questions would help?

perfect, you will get in either one.

I agree with what someone else said; you’re almost a shoe in for those schools, but apply to another couple ones just in case. It only costs a little bit more money and travel, but it’s good preparation for college. I’m applying to Lawrenceville and (possibly) Peddie, so good luck!

You’re asian, so you are part of a competitive pool. Just make sure you have a unique figurative ‘selling’ point, so you don’t come across as a stereotypical overachiever. Your grades and SSAT are fine. Also, in future posts, try not to put your name in. And if you are applying to Exeter, I’m sure they’d appreciate if you spelled it right.
Your ECs are great! Mention the Red Cross Service, but make sure you don’t sound cocky in your interview. I think the SSAT essay is just a verification, so if your essays are amazing and the SSAT is horrible, they’ll know its not you writing the essays. That’s my guess anyway. What do you mean by flying? Like, in a plane? That’s really cool, but just 10 hours isn’t enough to list as an EC. Rather than that, maybe list it as something they’d like to know about you. (For Lawrenceville)
Good Luck!
