Hi LINY2014,

Your goals for the SATs are right on par with what Lehigh looks for in applicants. If you can get your score over 2000, you’ll be in better shape.

Taking the most challenging courseload possible is important, so you’re on the right track here.

Showing interest is perhaps the best way to improve your chances of admission. It’s good that you visited campus. I also recommend doing an on-campus interview and getting into regular contact with an admissions rep.

Best,

Thank you so much for the feedback! much appreciated

I will be applying this fall as well. Best of luck to you. :)

thanks platypusParadox! same to you.

also I dont know if this makes much of a difference in admission but I forgot to mention that I am an AP Scholar with Honor

bumpppp…

LINY2014 -

LehighChemE gave you very valuable advice. I would just heed that and you should be fine! Best of luck and hopefully I’ll see you here next August.

ok thanks Lehigh2017! i was just wondering if anyone else had any input but i will most definitely take the advice lehighcheme gave me! :)

Hey I am kinda in the same boat except I did extremely poorly on the SATs and I was wondering my chances! Any response would rock haha. But 1720 SATs, 3.5 GPA, I have legacy thanks to my dad and I also interned at the state senators office. Class president junior year and senior year. A bunch of others I will just list. Debate, Mock Trial, FBLA, community service, soccer and track! I would apply early decision… Do I have a shot?

And a few APs! But I loaded up on business courses this year.

Make sure you show interest to the school, either with visits or contact with admissions.

The acceptance stats were released recently, and 43% of early decision applicants were accepted, compared to 28% of regular admission applicants.

17% of the class of 2017 are legacies. After figuring out each of the acceptance rates, Lehigh’s overall acceptance rate for the class of 2017 was 31%, down from 33% the year before.
