Your gpa seems a tad low, but other factors could make up for that. Seriously though, if you want to be a math major, the Math 2 SAT is the test to take. I wouldnt even bother with Math 1. Also, lehigh doesnt consider those, but I would still add it to your application package as an extra boost considering your gpa. Also, Lehigh only considers your Math and Reading SAT scores. They do not include the writing portion. Your Math SAT score is good and will help. The biggest piece of advice I can offer is to visit, visit, and visit some more. Lehigh wants you to show your love! All things being equal, if it was between you and another candidate… the person who visited more, and generally showed more interest in the school will get the nod. Good luck.

@julian1234 Lehigh’s acceptance rate for 1400-1490 SAT scores is 45%, 35% for 1300-1390. So purely based on your test scores your probably around the 40% range. Not knowing anything about your HS, your GPA will definitely be on the low side. I agree its a good target for you if you feel it offers what you are looking for, but understand that admission is going to be quite competitive.

If you haven’t already done so, look at the Common Data Set for Lehigh. GPA is listed as “Considered”. My somewhat random obseravtion is that Lehigh tends to give a little more leeway than many other Highly Selective schools on GPA. Rigor of HS transcript and Recommendations are listed as “Very Important”. EC’s, character, volunteer work, and demonstrated interest are all listed as “Important”. Academically, they want to see that you have challenged yourself during HS and through your test scores demonstrate the aptitude to be successful in a challenging academic environment.

As the previous poster mentioned up thread, demonstrated interest is very important for Lehigh. Take the opportunity to visit, learn about the programs you are interested in. Contact your admissions rep.

As always, use your essays as an opportunity to communicate your passion, what you will bring to the university, and what makes you unique.
