Plz be honest…thx:)

??? Aren’t you already a student at Berkshire?

No. what makes you think that?

@cababe97 your posts are all over the place…parent, student, alum?? Your post from just last week reads:

“Based off the info you have given, both Berkshire and NMH sound like great options. Both have really unique programs. I am a Berkshire alum who graduated 5 years ago. A application piece that can really make or break the applicant is actually the essays so be sure to start those in advance to make sure that they are good. If you don’t mind me asking, where do you live? This can sometimes impact your chances. Also, what sport does she play?”

Back in the summer you said you were heading to boarding school and earlier this fall you said you were having roommate troubles…

@MAandMEmom @AppleNotFar

The reason that I have been inconsistent are for two reasons.

  1. I want to protect my privacy in relations to Berkshire and not give away too much.

  2. For some things, I want other people to be able to get answers to questions they may have such as “Roomate Troubles” which I think many people can relate to and in which I have experienced in the past.

It’s my understanding that misrepresenting oneself (e.g., posing as a candidate or a student or parent or alumni when one is not) is against CC rules. It is not the way to protect one’s identity and is misleading and unhelpful to CC members.

@GoatMama @MAandMEmom @AppleNotFar

If it helps people understand, I am a current Berkshire student. I am sorry if anybody feels that I led them on or was trying to pose as something that I was not. It was not my intention to harm anybody or to trick them. I posted things such as “Roomate Troubles” and “Chances for Berkshire School, etc.” because those are both things that I have experienced (or did experience at the time posted) while being a student at Berkshire. Originally, when I posted my chance me post, I was an applicant and wanted to know my chances. I posted it again because I thought that it would be interesting to see what people would say and also for other people to see and how they could maybe see the standard of the schools and what they look for in an applicant. I hope that you understand that I was not trying to misrepresent myself or trick anybody in a malicious way, and only trying to protect my privacy and give advice.

@GoatMama @MAandMEmom @AppleNotFar
To add onto what I just said, I want to apologize to anybody who feels that I tricked them, as I didn’t mean to hurt anybody. That was not my intentional. I’m so sorry.

No troubles @cababe97 at all. I was more thinking about the hopeful students that read these posts.

^^^same here

One of the things that’s valuable about CC is that you can get to “know” the regular posters so can understand their posts in context. This is invaluable when soliciting input from strangers. As is honesty. Thanks for coming clean, @cababe97. It’s helpful.

The privacy issue is trickier; you can PM to provide info you are willing to share but not as a post.

Just wanted to point out for @cababe97 and other CC members for the future:

That is the purpose of threads such as: 2016 Official Prep School Stats/ECs

To provide such information/points of reference for future applicants…
