-Also my mom graduated from USC so I am a legacy student

I'm interviewing with USC this winter to show my interest. What are my chances of getting in- to USC and/or to Marshall?

If you think you would seriously be interested in playing for the USC marching band and have the talent for it, I would emphasize that on your application in the activities section.
I suggest you elaborate and explain more about your participation in the Symphonic Band and Symphonic Choir (what did you do, how many years, any awards). I also suggest retaking the SAT if you could do it or give it a try to take the ACT--send the best score. Also, did you do anything which tells admissions WHY you want Marshall school of business (such as work experience, loves math, etc.).

I forgot to mention that I took the ACT and got a 29:/

In one of my short answers I wrote about how my dad owns and manages his own business and has inspired me to get a business degree so I can follow in his footsteps. Does the fact that my mom is a USC alum help me much?

Where in my application would I mention my interest in participating in band/marching band?

I think your response was excellent about your dad being a role model to want to pursue a Business degree. Isn't there an activities section on the application where you list your extra-curricular activities such as playing a musical instrument in the band? I suggest listing exactly what kind of instrument you play, where you played (which band, orchestra, etc.), how long, any awards/honors won. Also, ask your school guidance counselor if it is better to provide your SAT or ACT score. Sounds like your SAT score is preferable.

Thanks a lot for the info!
