Chances for me! In-State

<p>Anyone want to help me out? I am applying to Western WA University, Evergreen State College, Seattle University, and Pacific Lutheran, in addition to the UW. UW is probably my top choice, though ( I live in Seattle, and want to attend the Seattle Campus). </p>

<p>Female, WA resident, full-time Running start student (junior/senior year)</p>

<p>GPA: about 3.7 overall (including both HS and Community College grades), it will probably increase by end of this quarter.
Community College GPA: 3.55 (I plan on getting my AA degree this spring)
Took SAT Oct 1st, so no scores yet :(</p>

<p>I don't have very many good extra-curricular activities...</p>

<ul>
<li>Working in hospitality industry, 20 hours/week in May - Sept 2010 and 2011</li>
<li>Summer 2010 tutoring for elementary-school aged children in math/reading, about 10 hours/week</li>
<li>Active in my church (volunteering regularly, altar server, went through Confirmation)</li>
<li>Volleyball team and swim team freshman year</li>
<li>Academic Honor Role, Academic Letter, Freshman year won a 2,500 academic scholarship for a private Catholic high school</li>
</ul>

<p>Any help on my chances would be appreciated :) Also, I am applying for the summer quarter, if that makes a difference!</p>

<p>Heya mate, I’m currently a freshman at the dub with particularly similar specs as you. I had a 3.74 coming in the application (dropped to 3.68 like a derp at the end of senior year…senioritis since freshman year I suppose), with even less extra curriculurs than yours (however, my essays were alright by any standards, but I write like a peasant so ymmv). As for testing scores, perhaps look at the ACT. I took both of them, and scored 100 or 200 equivalent points less on the SAT than ACT (1900 vs a 30), so be sure to glance at that.</p>

<p>Just a quick update… SAT score is 1880… 700 CR, 570 Math, 610 Writing. I’m probably going to re-take it though (I barely studied at all!) so I can increase my chances. Is this necessary?</p>
