Junior: Honors Precalculus
Senior: AP Environmental Science, AP Calculus AB, Honors Advanced Exposition</p>

<p>also, i doubled up on science classes junior (chem and ecology) and senior year (AP Enviro and Physics)</p>

<p>Extras:
-placed 1st through 3 divisions of science fairs (school, county, bay area)
-2nd place news writing award from N. California Women's Press
-2 years on school newspaper, 20+ hours a month, held positions as Business Manager and Opinion Editor
-2 summer camps spent rebuilding houses in Alaska and Utah</p>

<p>I think you're a match/almost safe match. Those test scores are remarkably strong. The GPA is somewhat low but its not as though everyone that gets into SB has a 3.8 >>;;</p>

<p>^You should. At least for UCs anyways, people seem to underestimate the ability for people to get in. "OMG YOU DONT HAVE A 4.2/2100 REJECT FROM LA/BERKELEY/MAYBE SD" <----That seems to be the mentality a lot of people have, which is....not right?</p>

<p>I'd say you have a pretty good shot at UCSB. Just curious, but what other schools are you applying to?</p>

wow, I was expecting santa barbara to be my reach after reading all of the other chance threads
I didn't apply many other places: UC Santa Cruz, UC Davis, Cal Poly SL, and San Diego State</p>
