Hi, there! I'm getting in the last of my college applications and considering applying to Notre Dame. I was wondering if I even have a chance. What do you think?

ACT:
27 (This is from the June ACT; my October scores haven't arrived)

GPA:
3.9

Highschool Credits:
English 5
Math 4
History 5
Foreign Language 3 (my first two years were each half-credit courses)
Science 3 (ditto)
Computer 1
PE 1
Fine Arts 4.5

I don't know if this is helpful information. Also, besides ND, can you think of other possible matches? I'd appreciate your thoughts!

your stats are ok, but we need ECs, especially for a school like Notre Dame they really care about them. Another important think for ND is class rank: if its not in the top 5%, its going to be an uphill battle getting in with that SAT score (I had a 1500 M+CR and a class rank about 8% and i got waitlisted)

I'm homeschooled, so I don't have a class rank. More than half of my classes are through a distance learning academy, but they don't calculate a class rank either.

As for ECs, I have been very involved in theatre, community and otherwise. I also studied piano (weekly lessons, many competitions, etc.). I'm president/editor of a couple of clubs for my local home-school group, in addition to being a member of similar clubs. My volunteer work has varied. Currently I volunteer 2-3 hours a week, not including random day-long events or shorter, spontanious help. Since I didn't search out academic honors (mea clupa) and it means very little when my mom gives me the "Social Studies" award or something, I have essentially nothing to list as an "academic honor." However, I have received several awards for theater.
