I'm sure you have a pretty good shot. Is Nova your 1st choice? It'd actually be kind of a surprise if you didn't get in, cuz their 'acceptance of acceptances' isn't that high, so they have to let in a bunch more ppl than they can actually take

its one of my top choices, matters where else i get it. even if i do get into bc i might not go jsut because its alot farther from home for me. however if i get into my ultra reach (upenn), i would go there no questions asked. but yeah, good shot id be going if i get in

i don't think you'll have much of a problem. your GPA isn't that low and your SAT scores are solid.

Well Villanova is an outstanding institution and I know the entire board as well as the admissions office personally. When I sat down with Mr. Gaynor I was told that a typically accepted early action applicant is a 3.77-4.11 GPA and 30-32 ACTS which translates to about 1310-1400.. Your chances of getting in EA are kind of a stretch because the admissions rate increased by 33% this year and the buiness school is one of their most competitive schools to attend (Top 20 in the nation). I am pretty sure youll be accepted RD though..Good luck in your pursuits!

Joeshan -you seem quite plugged in. How about the chances for the following (for my son). He's applied and is awaiting decision.

SAT 570/700/740 (M/R/W)
5/5 on AP History
750 on SATII History
4.0 GPA with mostly honors and AP courses.
Solid ECs with material activities outside of school.
He goes to a local (Phila) parochial high school. Do you suppose the proximity helps, hurts, or is neutral?

Thanks.
