I'm a white guy froma highly ranked public school in Michigan.

GPA: 3.65

ACT: 30
English: 30
Math: 33
Reading: 30

I am taking the SAT this weekend, really have no idea what to expect score wise.

I will graduate with 4 AP classes, Statistics, Calc BC, Physics C, and Environmental Science

I got a 4 on the Stat exam

My extracurriculars aren't that great but here they are.

Hockey since I was 4. Varsity my junior and senior years. Will be a captain this year.
Worked at local grocery store for the last 14 months.
Will be on NHS this year.

That's about it really.

I am applying to the following schools and looking to major in engineering.

Michigan
Illinois-Urbana-Champaign
Maryland-College Park
Southern California
Ohio State
Michigan State

How are my chances looking for each of these schools?

Michigan - Low Reach/High Match (I think it will help since you are in-state)
Illinois-Urbana-Champaign - Reach (Engineering is harder to get into than the other schools, but you might get accepted into the university but not the engineering college)
Maryland-College Park - Match
Southern California - Reach
Ohio State - Match
Michigan State - Match

Is your GPA unweighted or weighted? And get a higher score on the SAT, possibly a 2200+, for better chances at UMich, UIUC, and USC.

My GPA is unweighted. And what does a 30 generally turn into on the SAT. Is it the equivalent of a 2200 or what?

i think like a 2000

As esopteradactyl said, a 30 is about a 2000. A 33 would be about a 2200.

Alright, I took the SAT Saturday and feel I did somewhere between a 2000 and 2300. I think I got between a 780 and 800 on the math and anywhere between a 600 and 750 on both the english and the reading. Does that change anything?
