EC:
*I spent most of my time and years in a program Civil Air Patrol. CAP is founded on 3 basic principles: Cadet Programs, Emergency Services and Aerospace Education. I've been involved with the program since December 2006. In that period of about 5 years I helped with flood relief, leadership training (both a part of and helped others become leaders), I've held 3 leadership positions and now I am my squadrons Cadet Commander and serve as a representative for my squadron to the CAC (cadet advisory council, basically a powerful student government). CAP helped me build my moral character and helped me become a great leader. Wihtout it i wouldn't be the person I am today.
*I volunteer as much as I can. I spent the better part of my summer, this year, to help with famine relief in north-east Kenya. I stayed in Garissa for 1 month during Ramadan, where I fasted from sunrise to sundown, and helped bring a stop to the famine that happened in the horn of Africa. I worked the Kenya Red Cross Society and with WARDA, I spent 2days and Nights in Dadaab. Dadaab holds the world largest refugee camp(s). In dadaab I spent time talking to the refugees who came from Somalia in seek of shelter and food. It was like a scary dream that wouldn't stop. That experience changed me.
*I'm in DECA at my high school.
*I'm in tech club and programming club in my high school.
*I volunteer with the volunteer club in my high school.

About me:
*I like to design websites and stuff like that.
*I have a 6 year old autistic brother who can't speak (yet); I wrote a column about him in a international autism magazine.

The Schools: btw I will be applying for FA with all schools
*University of Minnesota - Twin Cities
Augsburg College
University of St. Thomas
Hamline University
*Northwestern - Evanston
*University of Michigan - Ann Arbor

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, for taking your time reading this, I know it's a lot. I don't know if some of these schools are reaches for me; if they are, could you all recommend different school for me?
thanks again.

Also UW - Madison
UW - Eu Claire

Assuming you raise your ACT to 28:

You’d be in at Hamline, St. Thomas, Augsburg, and U of M (though it depends which college of the U of M you’re applying to). I think UW - Madison is a slight reach, and Northwestern and UMich are higher reaches. I don’t know anything about UW - Eau Claire. :P

Have you looked at St. Olaf or Gustavus? They’re some other schools in the area, although possibly too isolated for your taste.

Would you think I would get into those two and Macalester College?

Maybe try the SATs??? Northwestern and UMich are high reaches based on GPA/ACT, but you still have a chance! Write a great essay!!! I wish you luck!!
