Chances for Mississippi State? Will chance back!

anybody chance 4 chance?

Low match to match. Just kill first semester-A’s and B’s.

Alright thanks man!!

Here are their admission requirements: [Requirements - Freshman Admission || Office of Admissions and Scholarships || Mississippi State University](http://www.admissions.msstate.edu/freshman/requirements.php)

Chance me back?

If you’ve satisfied them, you’re in. You’ve said you satisfied them. Ergo, you’re in. I don’t know why you keep bumping this thread, since anyone who tells you that MSU is a “low match” or just “match” has no idea what they’re talking about.

If you really want to know your chances, apply to MSU today and you’ll find out the answer before Christmas (hint, it’s a yes.)

@KERbear1994 Yeah I will chance you back. Just give me one minute

@whenwhen Should I submit the application first and then send in my transcripts and test scores, or is it the other way around?

The application will tell you what to do and when to submit documents. If you start it right now, you can finish applying within an hour.

Oh and btw, I believe both KU and University of Iowa have a policy of telling you if you’re in within 48 hrs. That means you apply online, and within two days you’ll know if you’ve been offered admission or not.

You may also want to consider Montana State and U Wyoming. They’re in rural areas with lower admission standards.

Alright thanks! and yeah I’ve already filled out the app. I just need to submit it! What would you say my chances are at both KU and U of Iowa?

Here are some other flagships that might work for a C+ full pay student:
University of Idaho
University of Utah
Kansas State
Arizona State
University of Maine - Orono
West Virginia University

If you’re so worried about getting into college, you can apply to a couple of these schools with the knowledge that you’ll have somewhere to go next year.

You are literally guaranteed admission to KU. I have no idea about Iowa although I don’t believe it’s terribly selective.

Also many schools publish admissions requirements for students. Google “(name of school) admission requirements” and many will tell you exactly the minimum stats/ courses to be offered admissions. If you fall below the standards, many schools will implement a holistic review practice, although it often results in an offer of admission, albeit with required support during the first semester.

Alright thanks! Also, after I get accepted, lets say hypothetically my grades during my senior year lower a bit (let’s say 2.6 GPA from 2.75), will they rescind my acceptance then? Because I’m taking alot of hard classes this year with an AP!

That’s pushing it into dangerous territory. Many schools will set a minimum semester GPA to prevent getting rescinded. If you exceed that minimum, you’re good. Also remember that college classes are difficult and if you can’t handle the rigor of hs work, you’ll likely seriously struggle in college.

Where do I find the minimum semester GPA? Do I email them? And yeah I know I’m going to try my best this year to get good grades!

They should send it after you’re admitted, if not, email admissions. Just do your best for the next two semesters as that will not only prevent your acceptance getting revoked but also prepare you for college.

Alright thanks man! I’m just kind of afraid of this whole admissions process! Plus mississippi state and ole miss are my 2 dream schools!

Well if you submit your apps now, you’ll soon find out if you got into your top choices. If you have any more questions that specifically pertain to Mississippi admissions, you should email either admissions at Ole Miss or MSU depending on the school. They’ll be able to answer your questions far better than most on this forum and if they’re stumped, they’ll either look into it or direct you to someone that can help.

Alright thanks for the help!
