Are you going to take SAT or retake ACT? You are taking challenging courses that made you suffer a little bit in overall GPA. I think you can do much better in standardized tests, although your PSAT and ACT scores matched very well. As of now, your chance for MIT is pretty slim. You are match for UMich though.

I think everything is great. I would expect you to be accepted everywhere with MIT being a crap shoot since they are so very selective. You definitely have the stats but MIT has its choice of just about anyone and who knows who they will select.

Great job and good luck!

Retaking ACT in April
Taking SAT in June
Taking SAT II in May (Biology M, Math 2, US Hist) and September (Physics, Literature, and Math 2 if I get a low score)

Ironically, I have never gotten a B in an AP (except calc this year). All my B’s are from high school foreign language classes I took in middle school (they show up on my transcripts still). That’s what’s messing up my GPA, it’s like a 3.914 without middle school.

Anyone else?

Hopefully your ACT will increase when you retake it. I think a higher ACT would put you in a much better position.
