Hey, you’re doing the BU Research program, too? So am I, except with Prof. Reinhard. I know a girls who did research with Dr. Moodera and I think one of them’s now at Harvard.

Anyways, great chances. Guess I’ll see you there?

Sounds great, hopefully going to make some friends, 6 weeks away from everyone i know will be quite odd…

See you there!

I’ll chance back…

lol 7.3 Weighted…

Love the advanced math level your at.
Your SAT scores look low. By just looking at the scores, I can probably guess that you fall into the Asian profile (high Math, low CR and writing). Correct me if i am wrong.

Ok EC for applicant.

MIT- Big reach
Stanford- reach
Caltech- low reach

lol.

My essay for the SAT got an 11, actually, I’m just not too good at multiple choice reading and writing. Picking the best answer is something that baffles me… There is a right or wrong answer, not a “best” one. Always been complemented by teachers for excellent writing and literature analysis.

I really like your techno/car restoration EC’s.

Get your SAT up, and your chances should be good. You can never say for sure for the schools you’re asking, though.

Thanks. I’m quite obsessed with electronic music and Saabs.
I figure even for the perfect students who apply to these school sits just a lottery of 1000 kids.

Your SAT will seriously impair you as an Asian applying to MIT/Stanford. If you can improve it to above 700, I think you have a shot at any of those schools. One other thing though, which sounds crazy, is that a 730 in Physics is low for Caltech. If you can up those two numbers (CR and Physics), Caltech is your best chance of the three IMO.

I’M NOT ASIAN

I’m a white kid with divorced parents and live with my mom who makes $40,000 a year and is never home either at work or in grad school.

Well the other guy said you were Asian and you didn’t object :p.

Hahaha, yeah you are right. Didn’t catch that part.

To reply to the 730 in physics:
that was sophomore year, I had only taken honors Physics at a performing arts school, you can imagine what that class was like…
