This is not really detailed enough. What major are you going into?
No one can really chance you, the quality of your essays will answer your question.
IMO, MIT, Harvard, and Yale are within reach.
Chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1672761-chance-me-for-stanford-university.html

I agree that you will need to give more info, but ill try.

Harvard - high reach
Yale - high reach
MIT - Mid Reach (they like techies and so does Stanford…)

Best of luck.

Sorry, I guess I left out some stuff that might be useful…
Major is most likely computer science. Male of Indian ethnicity, go to relatively large/competitive public high school, but top 2% gpa.
As far as ECs I might be a little weak… Don’t do much formal volunteering but I could work in some of the math and viola tutoring I’ve done.
However I think I can write a strong essay about my passion for programming and the experiences I’ve had trying to get apps like Catch the Fruit off the ground.

All high reach since your parents haven’t endowed a building.

i think your chances are great! your scores are great, and your extracurriculars are balanced, yet you maintain a focus on computer science with computer science club and the programming internship, which shows passion. The fact that a 4:50 mile time doesnt put you on Varsity, is crazy, but the fact that you participate in a sport and are good at it will really help to set you apart from the “typical south asian/asian applicant”. AIME shows great aptitude in math, FBLA shows you aren’t a “nerd” who studies all day, and the viola is great because its always good to have an instrument. if you write good essays I think

Harvard - Mid Reach
Yale - Match
MIT - Low Reach

Your stats are great and you have some really special ECs! With schools like these it’s always hard to tell but I think you have a really good shot of getting into all of them. Your clubs, app development, and internship show a definite angle which is always good. I would qualify Harvard as a mid-reach and Yale and MIT as low reaches.

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1674062-take-a-chance-on-me-chances-for-top-schools-vanderbilt-columbia-northwestern.html#latest

@Harvard98 How is Yale a match for anyone?

Hi guys,am from Ghana.here there is nothing like AP’s,no volunteering opportunities and hardly can a HS student be given any lab or research work experience .will this situation affect my app to mit.guys be honest, just tell me if i will be rejected straight away or i have any thin chance at all

@Greatakosa no you won’t get rejected straight away, they just want to see that you are taking the most rigorous courseload available to you, and taking advantage of all opportunities available to you. if you cant do research or APs thats fine.

@humblefool idk yale’s not really a match but I felt like he had the best chances out of the 3 for yale, and i already used mid reach and low reach so the next one down was match, but its not really a match, my mistake

@Harvard98 Thanks for clarifying that
