SAT II: MATH IIC - 800, Physics - 800, Writing - 570 (But I'm applying as an internatinal student)
TOEFL: 263
My GPA is somewhere about 3.7
I am interested in Computer science.
I have not done any research.
My strongest points are the honors I have been awarded.
I have competed in and won MANY competitions:

bronze and silver medal at IOI (international olympiad in informatics)
bronze and silver medal at Balkan OI ( Southeastern Europe OI)
Two gold medals from an international Austrlian mathematical competition

Many national and regional awards in informatics and mathematics (Including 3 times national champion in Informatics)

Essays and recs will be OK ( not brilliant though)

I don't have much extracurricular activities, since most of my time I spent
practicing for the IOIs and other competitions.

I'd say you have a good chance with those awards, but what about an interview?

What I hate is that I'm also trying to get into MIT, but my awards are close to none. I'm banking on good essays, a very strong academic program, and i'm trying to get in with:
Math IIc- 800
Chemistry-700
Math SAT I- 750
Verbal SAT I- 590
Writing: 640

Stats are not even that good, and on top of that im not even valedictorian or salutatorian. And you're were consecutive the national champion of informatics? I'd just go for it if I were you.

I think they do not look much at those SAT's.
I think they put more emphasis on the essays.
It could be said I am a winner but i personally do not feel so.
I was very unhappy with my silver medal
I hoped for GOLD :)
Anyway.
As for my interview, I had problems.
First of all they did not assign me an EC. Then I asked for one and
ehn i finally phoned her (it was hard, cuz she was abroad) she told me
she could not have any more interviews. Like she had a quota and has fulfilled it. So I did not have an interview, but i trully wanted to have.
I wrote MIT an email and am waiting for reply

I think my essay would be good.
I only need to make some cosmetic changes and to finish up my conclusion.
I finally started to like it. :)

Apart from my informatics/mathematics activities I'm keen on skiing, reading book, riding bicycle. In the optional part (something that you have created) i wrote about a clay sculpture i have created.

I don't play any instrument, nor do i practice sports.

Well I hope u dont think that all the aplicants got gold medals from somewhere ? :):) Actually u shouldnt think that more than 0.1% of all the applicants got ANY kind of medalish stuff in support of their app :) Essays and recommendations matter a lot - as to ur SAT scores thumbsup. Im sure ull get admited. I didn't manage to get good sat results and this frustrated my MIT and cornell application plans but i hope ill manage to get a ph.d over there. Sooo we may eventually meet one day :P
