Chances for MIT?

<p>Hello,
Well, this is the second time I had to type this, as my first session timed out :(</p>

<p>Anyway, I am a high school senior, and I was wondering what my chances were for a selective school like MIT</p>

<p>Basics:

-Public School
-Interests: Music, Flying, Politics
-Possible Area of Study: Aerospace Engineering, maybe?</p>

<p>Academics
-Class Rank: 1/180
-GPA: 4.0, I think. Our school does GPA wierd, but I have taken every Math, Science, and weighted course offered and have gotten all A's
-ACT Composite: 32
---ACT English: 35
---ACT Math: 34
---ACT Reading: 25
---ACT Science: 33
-Awards:
---Dale Carnegie Class (business relations/public speaking class): I was awarded a seat in this class by our local newspaper, I received three awards for speeches during the class
---Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering (test-based competition ran by UIUC): 1st place Regional Biology and Regional Math, 3rd place Sectional Biology, advanced to state
---Lakeland College Computer Contest: 1st place in Excel ('07), 3rd place in Excel and 2nd place in Word ('08)</p>

---Praise Band: I play piano for our church band, we have put more than 120+ hours in so far
---BigBrothersBigSisters: I mentor an elementary child, have about 30 hours so far, will have 50+ by the time I apply
---Church Website: I built and maintained our church website for a couple months; put about 20 hours into it
---State Representative: Although not really "community service", I worked about 10 or so hours this summer at my state representative's office without compensation
-Other other stuff:
-Pilot's License: This spring, I took an aviation ground school course at my community college, and I am currently in the process of earning my Private Pilot's License.
-Won trip to D.C.-This spring I was chosen by my school to visit our state capital with the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives. After an essay submission and interview, I was chosen by my electric cooperative to go to Washington D.C. for a weeklong trip
-NYLF: I am going on the NYLF National Security trip to Washington DC this fall</p>

<p>The things that I am doing this fall:
-playing piano at my local hospital for the longterm residents there
-tutoring a girl in physics
-campaiging for state representative reis
-continuing the other volunteering from above
-retaking the ACT (look at that reading score... ouch)
-taking the SAT II's in math and physics
-ESSAYS</p>

<p>So basically, (1), what are my chances for a selective school,(2), am I on track, and (3), what kind of score do I need to shoot for on my SAT II's?</p>

<p>Any other constructive criticism will be greatly appreciated. I thank you greatly for your time,
Matt</p>

<p>Do I really have any chance at all, or am I wasting my time taking the SAT II's?</p>
