<p>Hey. I'm new to the site or whatever, but I just wanted to find out my chances for MIT after finishing my Sophomore year in High School. My friends and I have gained an intense interest in college, and I wanna know what you guys think based on what information I can provide.</p>

<p>I have ISU as a fall back at the moment, and I actually really want to go there, so that's no problem. My class load thus far has been stacked, and pretty difficult. Still waiting on my AP score for Human Geography. So If you can help me out, thanks!</p>

<p>Whoa. You are almost exactly like me. same ACT score and grade. Similar GPA and rank. I plan on applying to MIT as well! Did you take the ACT in June?

<p>Took it in April. I think I can get it and so can you if we are the same, I just don’t know about cost. My dad is happy that with my credentials I can go to ISU for next to nothing, but my friend got me interested in actually thinking about MIT.</p>

<p>What are you interested in? Like possible majors.
With good scores, grades, and EC’s, you can go alot of places for next to nothing so don’t limit yourself.</p>

<p>MIT focuses more on awards/competitions/contests etc… It’s hard to figure out your chances right now, but you’re on the right track with your grades and ACT.</p>

Comp: 1st in Structural Engineering in Iowa’s State TSA competition</p>

<p>I like the Structural Engineering one :] And Speech/Newspaper are always good ECs to have.
Do you know your weighted GPA yet?</p>
