I took a lot of Pre-Ap's and 1 AP classes in freshman/sophomore year. I've taken all Dual Enrollment classes junior-senior year.

TEST SCORES

Before you see them I must say that I am not a very good test taker...

SAT II Biology E: 760

RECOMMENDATIONS

I'm positive the three recommendations will be excellent.

One from a history professor who will be publishing a book. I helped him interview people and I will be listed as a helper in the acknowledgment portion of his book.

One from a biology professor who was always very supportive. I was top grade in class of university students and has since then been pushing me out to good universities.

One from the professor I assist in researching. We are researching artificial intelligence and we will get several articles published in scientific journals.

Robot Gallery (jaimemguajardo)

I really know my standardized test scores are my main weakness, but according to MIT they have no "cut off" scores. I just really hope they take a look at me as a whole and not just my flaws.

Thanks.

Your application looks okay, but higher scores would help alot. Best of luck to you

I read the post, but I’m still unsure as to what a magnet school is (anyone clarify please? ).

As far as chances go … low or average compared to most applicants (my honest opinion). You’ve got a solid resume, with the weakness being test scores, as you’ve said. It could happen, though.

bump… c’mon guys

What is your unweighted GPA, and what journals are you publishing in, and under what round of review are they?

Having a paper in second round of an A journal is very different than first round at a no-name journal.

The journals in which I’m published are new ones that just started… not really famous at all

unweighted gpa?

unweighted gpa: 3.74

boy scouts doesn’t matter until you are an eagle scout

Really interesting activities! Do you design robots, really? That’s pretty cool. You might want to up your SATI scores a bit, but I think you have a good shot with your application outside of the numbers.

Well I can’t retake SAT’s as deadline is way past… But what would you consider my chances? High reach? Reach?

high reach
