Hi, can you guys evaluate my chances of getting into MSU honors from OOS given my stats? Also, do you think the professors in the honors college are overall good, especially for premed type courses (ie organic chem, chem, or other physical sciences), and does anyone have any comments on the premed advising committee?

Maybe you can find out more if you go to the MSU website, click on admissions and chat with other students.

Honors College: Top 5% of class and 29 + on the ACT

... actually, I think the ACT req'd is at least 30.

For sure. Only get in Honors College with a 30 or higher. No exceptions. Forgot the SAT score though. But I'm positive about ACT. You can always try getting into the honors college sophomore year.

... copied from the MSU/HC admissions website:

"... They have either an ACT composite score of at least 30 or an SAT total score of at least 1360 (Critical Reading and Math sections only)."

They also have the Academic Scholars program for those who don't quite make honors qualifications.
