Chances for my colleges?

Currently a senior. I live in NC, and I’m an Asian female. I’m kind of worried that maybe I’m overestimating what I consider matches. Any feedback is appreciated!

NC State - accepted
Duke - low reach
U of M - match (assuming STEM major?)
Harvard/Columbia/Yale - reach

I feel like you have a pretty good chance at most of your schools! (I don’t know anything about CMU, so I didn’t chance).

Good luck at Yale - hopefully we may see each other in the fall

@ShawnLooch Yeah, I think I’m doing Comp Sci but switching majors isn’t out of the question, haha. And thank you! Best of luck to you too!

That may actually make HYC a tad bit lower reaches :stuck_out_tongue: STEM will help!

Your numbers look great, but as you’ve probably heard before, apps to Harvard/Columbia/Yale are pretty much lottery tickets for everyone who’s not a legacy or recruited athlete. Duke and CMU are a little more likely, but still high matches/reaches nonetheless. Michigan and Chapel Hill should be more within reach, so as long as you’re very happy going to one of those 2 (really good) schools, the list looks good! From a fellow senior, good luck with your apps, you’re definitely going to end up somewhere great

Chance back? (I know…shameless) http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1833435-chance-me-for-barnard-tufts-northwestern.html#latest

Harvard and Yale are mid-reaches.
Duke and Columbia are low-reaches.
