Anything helps thank you!

I hate to tell you this but right now your chances are zero. Your SAT and ACT are below the minimum to be even considered. [Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps - Scholarship Selection Criteria](<a href=“Naval Education and Training Command - NETC”>Naval Education and Training Command - NETC)

The other thing working against you is your major since it is a Tier 3 major. Only 15% of scholarships can go to Tier 3 majors. So you will be up against applicants with 2000+ SAT and 30+ ACT. This is one of the most competitive scholarships right now. Being at the minimums (and you need to get your scores up to get to that) won’t cut it.

Finally you can’t get to law school and JAG out of NROTC. NROTC commissions officers to non-restricted line billets only. Means aviation, subs, or command on something that floats. JAG is restricted line and is not even a selection for NROTC. You would have to finish your initial commitment of 5 years active duty first and then go to law school.

What year are you? Sorry to give you bad news but I’m not one to sugarcoat things. I have a lot of experience with NROTC and selection process.

One other point. Even as a PolSci major you will have to take a full year of college calculus and then a full year of calculus based physics. These are the regular classes with Engineering students not special classes for NROTC. You have to have at least a C in these courses.

I just sent you a pm.
