Looking to evaluate my chances for getting into the Engineering program at NC State (Civil or Industrial)
-Currently a Junior, Wake Co.
-4.8 Weighted GPA, 4.0 Unweighted
-31 ACT (35 English, 26 Math, 32 Reading, 30 Science, 9 Writing)
-Class Rank: 2 of ~500
-Have yet to take SAT (Should I?)
-AP Classes: Human Geography, Calculus AB/BC, US History, Environmental Science (Looking to take Physics 1, Chemistry or Statistics, and Calc. 2 Honors as a senior)
-NAF Academy of Finance:
*Finance Curriculum and 135-hour internship
*2 Dual-Enrollment Business Classes at Comm. College (BUS 110, BUS 137)
-Student Council (Freshman Yr. - Present)
*Sophomore Class President, worked to raise >$10,000 for St. Baldricks
*Junior Class VP, Prom Chairman
*Running for Executive Council (Student Body President/VP) in Spring
*Attended NC Association of Student Council’s Summer Leadership Workshops (2015, 2016)
-Working on completing Eagle Scout, looking to be wrapped up by end of 2017
*Patrol Leader and Senior Patrol Leader positions held
-Active member of DECA
*Currently working on finance consultation written project with local investment firm
-Active member of National Honors’ Society
So, what are my chances? Is it worth my time to take the SAT, or to study and retake the ACT?
