NCSU: High match
UIUC: Match (they use the better of UW and weighted)
VA Tech: High match (even with them using weighted GPA)</p>
<p>My advice: either get a safety or go to a CC and then attempt to apply to these places as a transfer.</p>

<p>UIUC is by no means a match. I’m guessing you’re applying for engineering? In that case, it’s a reach.</p>
<p>I chanced for UIUC assuming he wasn’t applying for engineering.</p>
<p>well UIUC does a holistic admission which has a really high acceptance rate of 68 percent…lol</p>
<p>UIUC is downright massive, which could explain that 68% acceptance rate, but engineering and non-engineering majors are two different applicant pools. </p>
<p>Perhaps the worst one to make it into UIUC engineering, one that had worse stats than you, was a recruited athlete or something…</p>

<p>Also UIUC is massive but so are other schools such as NCSTATE, UNC Chapel, VA tech, and GA tech that are massive but have a lower acceptance rate.</p>
