Chances for ND please!!

Hi guys! I was wondering my chances at Notre Dame... I am a white male from a large public high school in MN. My family combined income is about 160k and I want to apply EA. Here's some stats..

Academics:
-3.99 UW GPA
-Ranked 3/606
- First ever practice ACT was a 29, really shooting for a 33/34
-Will have had 9 AP classes through high school, rest are honors

ECs:
-Varsity CC, all conference, captain
-Varisty Basketball, captain
-Varsity Track, all conference, captain
-FCA Leader for 3rd largest FCA in the state
-Co president of NHS
-President and Founder of a community service club at my school
-2 Years in top band at my school, 2 year member of top jazz band
-Attended Boys State
-Teach Sunday school every weekend

My recs should be good.. I'm leaving out some minor ECs but this is the bulk of what I have to offer! Please give me some input on chances/chances at merit money/how I can improve! Thanks!

Your stats seem pretty good. You didn’t mention if you were applying this year. If not, I would say the only thing that might hold you back is your test scores. So, I would say take a prep class and take the test multiple times. If you are a senior, you may do better applying RD, as the test score is below the 50% average. Good luck!

Thank you! I am a junior and will be applying next year. I dont have an official ACT score yet, just that first practice one. Is the middle 50% around a 31/32??

The middle 50% for the ACT from the previous year’s admitted class was 32-34, I do believe. Most people here say to aim for a 33 if not higher, so definitely try your hardest for the ACT and/or SAT!

Alright, if I get an ACT score around a 33 how do my chances look?

bump please!

If you get a 33 i’d say your in, but not with a 29

Thanks! Anyone else?
