Chances for New Paltz, Albany, and Stony Brook:

I applied in mid-October for regular admission to SUNY New Paltz, Stony Brook, and Albany. As of right now, my GPA stands at a 3.5 (88). It fluctuated a lot over high school, with my lowest being a 75 at one point.

My SAT scores suck. Plain and simple. I took them twice. The first time, I got:

CR: 400
Math: 400
Writing: 530

[1330 total]

Second time:

CR: 470
Math: 430
Writing: 510

[1410 total]

It is an improvement I guess, but not what I was aiming for.

I never took any extracurricular activities or joined any sports (long story). My application essay was, in my opinion, stellar. I just wish I could have made it longer; trying to shorten it to fit the character limit made me have to cut out some important aspects.

What do you think?
