Hello, I am an Asian Male living in Massachusetts. I am still deciding whether I should EA NEU or BU. Also, I am interested in what UCs I can get into.

GPA: 3.3/4.0 unweighted 3.76 weighted (i have an increasing weighted GPA: 3.47, 3.74, 4.02)
School does not do rank, but I am in the top 15-20%
ACT: 24 (improving it and consistently scoring 26-27 right now)
21 English (improved to ~28)
28 Math (improved to ~30)
21 Reading (improved to ~22)
24 Science (improved to ~28)
SAT II:
640 Math 2
660 Chem

AP :English language and comp, Physics 1, Calc AB, Econ, Chem
APs currently taking: AP Envisci, AP CompSci, AP Calc BC,
I took maybe 1 or 2 CP classes in highschool

150 hours of community service at chinese school for children (probably getting up to 200)

Extracurriculars:
co-founder of gaming club and chess club
in the robotics team
internship at a chemical engineering firm (he is going to give me a recommendation along with my teachers)

For the UCs, your GPA and ACT are not competitive. Sorry :frowning:

Also, the UCs are public universities funded by California taxpayers, so OOS students pay full fees=$55k+ per year.

I think you have a chance of getting into BU (there is no EA) for ED or Northeastern EA as long as your essay and recommendation letters are good.
Like what aunt bea said, all the UCs are reach for you :frowning:

Fordham=high match

A 24 ACT or even a 26 or 27 combined with a 3.3 UW GPA would make Northeastern out of reach. BU acceptance would likely be to CGS.

You’re applying to very similar colleges as me. I too live in Massachusetts. So far I’ve gotten into UMass and I’m waiting on Northeastern and HKUST. About HKUST, did you apply early? I applied in the Main Round and I’m wondering what my chances are. So any news?

Scores and GPA are too low for northeastern it’s getting really competitive. UCS also aren’t a match especially OOS. BU you might get in if you apply to the college of general studies and even then your ACT would still be low.
