If you want to major in Journalism, and given your grades and test scores, I’d recommend the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Yea, I know they have a top-notch journalism school, but based on their website stats, I’m thinking I have a very good chance of being admitted.

That’s why I’m asking about these schools…haha.

Their stats on their website are probably for the school as a whole, and I would think that their j-school is much, much more competitive than their other schools in terms of admissions, so I don’t know if Missouri journalism would be a sure thing. Try to bring up your GPA and do more journalism related activites and you will have a much better shot at Syracuse and Mizzou. Northwestern looks like a reach at this point.

honestly, your stats are not particularily outsanding for those programs. That being said, I think that if you can make your ECs stronger, perhaps get a journalism internship or attend the journalism program at northwestern this summer, you will have a pretty good chance. I just know that those programs are highly competative, and I would not get my hopes up. I’ll call them a reach for you.

I do not know much about admission to journalism schools, but based on your GPA and test scores, I would say that Northwestern and Syracuse are reaches. ECs are good. You should probably work hard on your essays to stand out in the pool of applicants. Applying ED to any of the schools will help.

Chance me please?
