Chances for Northwestern, UMich, UChicago, Duke?

<p>I am currently a junior attending a public high school in Michigan.</p>

<p>Stats:</p>

<p>GPA: 4.02 (weighted)
Class Rank: 1/570
ACT: 30 (as of now. taking it again in april and june)
AP Exams: US History (4). Taking Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Biology, and US Government this May.
SAT II: Planning on taking Math II and Biology this year

- AP Microeconomics
- Honors Algebra
- Spanish II (dont ask...)</p>

<p>Volunteer at local hospital: 200 Hours
Volunteer at University of Michigan Hospital: 120 Hours
National Honors Society: 1 year (as of now, since I'm a junior) (Vice President)
Science Olympiad: 2 years (2nd Place Invitationals in Ecology, 3rd Place Invitationals in Anatomy and Physiology)
HOSA: 3 years (1st Place Pharmacology Regional Competition, State Pharmacology Competition Qualifier)
Math Olympiad: 3 years
Michigan recreational and select/premier Soccer Referee: 5 years (Paid work)
Premier Soccer: 3 Years (Top 10 teams in Michigan)
High School Soccer: 2 Years (Freshman 1 year, Varsity 1 year)
Muslim Student Association: 2 Years</p>

<p>I plan to major in biomedical engineering or psychology/neuroscience.
UChicago and Northwestern are my two dream schools, UMich and Duke are up there too. Also considering Wayne State, Case Western, and University of Washington St. Louis.</p>

<p>You need to improve your ACTscore (33+ would be better).
Study hard to get 750+ on subject tests.</p>

<p>Chicago: Supp essay (be creative) and why chicago essay (show your passion for learning) are very important.
Northwestern: Why Northwestern essay is important.</p>

<p>You are in range, should apply, and have a shot, but I might suggest attempting to improve your resume as much as is reasonable in the time remaining. Any improvements in test scores and EC efforts will likely improve your chances. Looking through the 2015 results threads for U Chicago and Northwestern may be sobbering as well:</p>
