<p>Strong letters of rec, one from journalism adviser, another from counselor with background in journalism at the Tribune for 20+ years.</p>

<p>At Northwestern, I applied to the Medill School of Journalism.
At USC, I applied as a journalism major. Interview date set.
At NYU, I applied to the Steinhardt School.</p>

<p>I'm also an Illinois resident.</p>

<p>Chances? I already was a direct admit to Mizzou's J-School.</p>

NYU: Match (since Steinhardt is easier to get into than CAS and Stern)</p>
