Chances for Northwestern!

Hi!
What are my chances at Northwestern University if I apply early decision? I'm considering majoring in either psychology or neuroscience. I know that my SAT scores are slightly low, but hopefully I can make up for it with other parts of my application.

•GPA: 98 (our school doesn't use the 4.0 scales- it's out of 100)
•2100 SAT (680 Math, 720 Reading, 700 Writing)
•30 ACT
•4 AP Tests: one 5, one 4, two 3s
•Top 10% of extremely competitive public school
•High level of academic rigor- all honors or AP classes
•Varsity field hockey, ice hockey, and tennis
•Captain of the tennis team
•Part-time Employment
•Active in my community with lots of volunteering
•Head of a youth art board and part-time art teacher
•Volunteer at Maine Youth Court and involved in multiple clubs
•Positive Recommendations

Thanks!

I’m also thinking about applying to…
Colgate
Brown
Wesleyan
Williams
Boston College

Does anyone have any insight on my chances at one of these schools also?

NWU: Reach
Brown: Reach
Colgate: Reach
Wesleyan: Reach
Williams: Reach
BC: Match/High match

Is there another LAC that you might want as a safety?

I think you are a fairly good match for boston college. Northwestern may be a reach school, as for Brown. However, with good essays and recommendations, you will definitely be considered.

I have Wheaton College in Mass. And Juniata in PA as backups, but I’m not super interested in them. Do I have somewhat of a chance of getting into Northwestern, or is it too far out of reach?

Can you afford doing ED at NWU?

@catria Yes, I can. Financial aid isn’t a problem. Will this help?
