Chances for Northwestern?

I’m a junior from a NJ, and I want to study economics or finance at NW. I attend a specialized program for medicine for which admission is highly competitive. As part of the program, I’ve been taking advanced math courses and AP since freshman year
Weighted GPA: 4.6 on a 4.6 scale (top 10%)
I got 4 B’s freshman year, but my grades have been mostly straight A’s from there with two B+'s sophomore year.
PSAT: 235 one-shot, 750 in math
SAT: 2390 one-shot, 790 in writing
SAT II: 800 Math II, 750 Bio M, 760 Chemistry
AP: Bio (4) freshman year, Chem (4), Stat (5), Psych (5) sophomore year
Taking AP Physics 1, AP Calc BC, APUSH, and AP Lang this year
Taking Multivariable, AP Econ, AP Lit, and maybe some more next year
Extracurriculars:
Marching and Concert Band for 3 years, likely section leader next year
Jazz Band (select) this year
YMCA Model UN for three years- got the Outstanding Country award sophomore year and am a Youth Secretariat this year
YMCA NJ Youth and Government freshman and junior year, might get VP after this year
Varsity tennis since sophomore year
Spanish HS, NHS
NHD State Qualifier
I don’t have a real consistent thing of volunteering, probably only have like 90ish hours so far
Member of my town’s volunteer group
Volunteered at the hospital after my freshman year
Volunteered at the temple for a while, including a free SAT tutoring course
I’m also trying to start a group of volunteer musicians for retirement homes, a stock market club, and a JSA chapter in my school
Thanks in advance guys!

Edit: Not sure if implied, but I started the SAT tutoring at my temple personally and by myself

You have a shot. Four Bs Freshman year is kind of meh but an upward trend is the most important thing with lots of As now. If you have some kind of personal reason for lower grades freshman year theres a comments section to explain if you want which could help you. Your ECs are fine, having a strong SAT definately helps balance out your profile. If you really like NU (thats the correct abbrevation by the way), id consider applying ED for WAY better odds, because Northwestern is getting really hard to get into recently RD, even if you’re really qualified. Also look up MMSS as a major on NU undergrad page you might like that a lot and it compliments economics really well if you’re good in and like math.

I think your stats are impressive. You will definitely be a great candidate, it’s only a matter of if they think you’re better than your competition. I would say theres like a 60% chance you’ll get it? It’s pretty tough, so that’s my guess. Good luck!

Chance me please! I’ll chance back!

Do you think it would be better for me to just say I was unmotivated freshman year and now I am highly motivated?

Yeah, I wouldn’t doubt it.

You’ve got a 50/50 chance IMHO. Your stats are good, EC’s are good but not great. You’re qualified, but Northwestern has a 13% acceptance rate RD, so nothing is guaranteed.

Come on. How could you have a 50/50 chance with a 2390 and a 4.6 gpa. Your in. Literally no way you could be rejected in my opinion. Maybe your ec’s are a little weak for NW level, but still everything else is golden.

Bump. Could use a few more opinions.

For NU, no one can be sure in but OP does have a good chance. It should be a very low reach.
