Chances for Notre Dame

<p>Hey dudes.</p>

<p>I'm applying to a lot of LAC's but I'm pretty sure I can get into all of them.</p>

<p>I think I would go to Notre Dame if I was accepted, and there's no other big school I'd want to go to.</p>

<p>So I'm applying to Notre Dame.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.4-3.5 (unweighted)</p>

<p>SAT: 710 640 660 (1350 / 2010)</p>

<p>I'm an IB diploma candidate, so maybe my GPA may be weighted well (I don't know how our school does this), or they might look at my unweighted and say "but he was in the IB program". What do you think?</p>

<p>ECs:</p>

<p>-Member of Changing Our World youth coalition for my city; made presentations to city council and work with community groups across city
-Member of International Baccalaureate Student Advisory Group (student government for our IB programme), did fundraising and organized events
-meal preparation volunteer at Shelter House
-Senior Editor of school newspaper in Gr. 11
-organizer of "Let Them Be Kids" playground build at city elementary school
-rower on school Dragonboat Team, won gold in 2007/2008
-school delegate to World Affairs Conference in Toronto (Upper Canada College)
-member of Multicultural Club @ school</p>

<p>Honors/Awards: </p>

<p>-English Departmental Award, Gr 11
-Winner of Environment North essay contest, essay published full-page in regional newspaper</p>

<p>Work Experience:</p>

<p>-now write for a column in regional newspaper, paid by the article</p>

<p>I should have up to 2 extremely fantastic recommendations.</p>

<p>I really screwed up my GPA in grade 9 because 1. I sucked at school back then, and 2. I thought I was applying to a Canadian school where only Gr 11/12 marks count. I was wrong.</p>

<p>I go to school in Ontario. I'm not at a famous school but at least I'm in the IB programme.</p>

<p>Do I have a chance?</p>

<p>You should have a pretty good chance on at Norte Dame, very close to a 100%</p>
