I'm a freshman and those are my top choices. Are my chances good? Lets say I have a bangin essay and an average rec. Also, what majors are the most crowded? What will give me the best chance of getting in? What will give me the worst? I want to major in biology and go premed. What clubs should I persue next semester to give me the best chance?

bump :)…

Man, no help?

Your SAT and GPA are far below the 25th percentile for Emory. You may have a shot because you’re a URM, but your chances are still very slim. I have no idea about NYU.

i disagree. IN @ both emory and NYU.

also try appying to some lower-admittance rate ivies, such as Brown and Darmouth

Also, I’m applying to Northeastern, USF, Syracuse, and USD, are my chances good?

Thats basically my list. I want to make sure I ccan transfer and get accepted SOMEWHERE.

Okay so my gpa is 3.77 and I’m thinking of retaking my SATs. Good idea?

Yes, retake SATs. Yours are pretty low for Emory & NYU. If you took AP Bio and did well (esp. 5) on the test, that might help too.

Well, you’re in the running at NYU (If your GPA is 3.77). I can’t really say ig you’re in or not. Um, I think Steinhardt (at NYU) is the easiest but of course only apply if they have your major. IDK about Emory.
