Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): I am pursuing my career by working at a dental office?

I think you have a great chance at everywhere. I think NYU is a safety. Cornell might be a slight reach, but I hear it’s the easiest Ivy to get into. Good luck!

he’s asian which stacks him against other asian kids…they have what 20% admit rate maybe? JHU is a magnet for smart asian kids…my best friend goes there 5% might be harsh but 20% maybe

So what if he’s Asian? True, it might be more competitive, but definitely not as you stated.

You generalize too much. “JHU is a magnet for smart asian kids.”
Every top university has a multitude of intelligent individuals which includes all races.

say what you will but that school for a fact attracts large #'s of strong asian applicants b/c of its medical focus…I could care less if he’s asian or not but the fact is it makes life harder especially for a school that is popular in that demographic…(I’m 1/4th asian)

You have solid (not sure) chances in all of them
Well, except for Cornell (Low reach), Columbia (High reach, but it is for everyone), and
Johns Hopkins (low reach)
your stats look really good.
