Yeah.. I don't know what to say about my junior year. The courses weren't too challenging, I just didn't do any work at all. AP Bio isn't that bad, though; in a class of 15 kids, 10 of them already ivy-bound, a C is the average. I'm hoping I can still get into NYU.

The downward trend in grades is not good. I can only say the obvious, that your chances at Lang are better than at NYU.

No surprises there. Assuming I bring my SAT scores up to around 2200 and do well on my AP tests, do I have a decent shot at NYU?

Good GPA but weird downward trend. Laundry list of ECs with very little meaningful like executive board positions or solid commitment. SATs in 45% percentile unless you score that 2200. If you maintain a 3.8 and aren't applying to Stern or Tisch, have great responses to the questions and essay with Early Decision, I'd say you have a good shot. A 2200 and solid 3.8 is an above average combination.

I would be applying to CAS.

Would four years of lacrosse (three years varsity) and four+ years of volunteering regularly at teen court as an attorney not show commitment? But yeah, I don't think any of my EC's are that impressive.

Updates:
11th Grade
AP English: A, A
AP History: B, B
AP Bio: C, D
Spanish IV: C, C
Honors Pre-Calc: B, A
AP Euro: C, C

AP Tests:
European History: 3
American History: 3
Biology: 4
English: 5

Sorry, it won't let me edit the post above. Colleges to add to the list:
Cornell (a stretch, I know)
Oberlin
Dickinson
Bard
St. Johns College (either campus)
Haverford
Boston University
Boston College
Tufts

Oh, new SAT scores:
Reading: 730
Math: 690

I think these grades do not bode well for your chances at most of the schools on your list:

AP Bio: C, D
Spanish IV: C, C
AP Euro: C, C

Yeah. I'm not getting my hopes up. If my list seems a little ambitious, it's only because I have a free ride to my state university as a safety, which wouldn't be all that bad.

I was also thinking that maybe the C and D in AP Bio might have been slightly salvaged by the 4 on the AP test.

I also have legacy at Cornell and Duke - but I assume Duke is too far out of my reach.
